Renew with Horses Spring Mini Retreat

Spring Mini Retreat

A gentle mini retreat blending heart-centred equine connections with restorative Yin yoga, breathwork— designed to open the heart, soothe the nervous system, and support meridian flow.

Overview

  • Duration: 3 ½ hours

  • Group size: small (4–6 participants) for focused, safe attention

  • Setting: quiet paddocks and indoor/outdoor studio space at Rideau Breeze Stables & Wellness Centre

  • Facilitators: certified equine-assisted practitioner and Yin yoga teacher trained in breathwork and energy systems

Arrival and Intention Setting

  • Warm welcome with herbal tea and a short grounding exercise.

  • Brief introductions and setting a personal intention for the retreat.

  • Explain safety, horse boundaries and the gentle nature of the day.

Heart-Centred Equine Connection

  • Orientation: meet the horses from a calm, respectful distance. Overview of horse behaviour, body language and consent-based interactions.

  • Touch and Presence Practice: guided sessions focusing on non-demanding, heart-centred touch—hand on the shoulder, scratch along the neck, gentle grooming—encouraging slow, mindful contact.

  • Heart-led Communication: exercises to notice breath, heart rate, and energetic shifts while standing or sitting beside the horse; facilitators guide participants to soften into receptive presence.

  • Reflective Integration: journaling prompt and short circle share to name sensations, emotions and insights. Horses often mirror nervous-system shifts; facilitators help translate these somatic cues.

Restorative Yin Yoga with Chakra Meditations Focusing on Meridians and Chakras

‍ ‍

  • The Seven Chakras (from Indian tradition) are major energy vortexes that run vertically along your spine, from its base to the crown of your head, each governing different physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of your well-being

  • There are 12 Standard Meridians (from Chinese medicine) and they function as channels or "highways" that distribute this energy throughout the body.

  • The focus will be on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians (Wood element) to support detoxification, renewal, and growth.

  • These meridians are targeted through hip-opening, side-bending, and twisting poses, held for 3-5 minutes with a slow release where we feel all the waters of the body rushing back to that tissue that was just stretched and compressed already feeling the circulation of vital energy through the body

    Closing Circle: Integration Activity
We will gather together to reflect on the retreat experience, name insights, and set a simple next step to carry the experience home

    $125 per person
